Long Island Welding School
F.A.Q
Q: What is an American Welding Society Accredited Test Facility?
A: A program establishes minimum requirements for test facilities, their personnel and equipment to qualify for accreditation to test and qualify welders.

Q: What is your American Welding Society Accredited Test Facility ID #?
A: Long Island Welding School - 191005. Please see our licensing page for more info.

Q: What does this mean to the student?
A: That the student is being trained by the top professionals in the field. Our facility is accredited by the American Welding Society to teach, perform & grade all AWS Qualification Tests in our facility. We are also certified to send your test results to American Welding Society, which in turn you will receive a welder's card. We are only ONE OF 2 facilities on LONG ISLAND, that can do this. Please do not be scammed by others who claim they can do this. Only receiving a welder's qualification paper signed by a certified inspector WILL NOT get you a welder's card. Only Accredited Testing Facilities can send this paper to AWS.

Q: What is a AWS Certified Welding Educator?
A: American Welding Society specially trains individuals on the AWS Curriculum. It is VERY important to ensure your instructor at any welding school is a Certified Welding Educator.

A: NO WAY! Your course costs includes all steel material, wire, gas etc. We only ask you buy or bring in your own welding helmet, leather welding jacket, leather welding gloves & work boots - since these items need to be specially fitted to you! We can recommend a location to buy these items once you sign up.
